Laverdia Companion Guide: Prescription, Handling, and Home Monitoring
Who this guide is for
Owners of a dog with lymphoma whose licensed veterinarian has prescribed Laverdia. It supplements, but never replaces, the current client information sheet.
Guide summary
Give only the prescribed intact tablets immediately after food, keep doses at the instructed interval, use chemotherapy gloves and three-day waste precautions, and report adverse changes early.
Before you start
Review diagnosis, expected goal, alternative protocols, monitoring and the client sheet. Disclose every medicine and supplement and identify pregnancy, nursing, children or immunocompromise in the household. Set up secure storage, chemotherapy-rated gloves and separate cleanup supplies.
Step-by-step guidance
- Confirm the dog has eaten as directed.
- With chemotherapy-safe gloves, give the exact intact tablet amount prescribed.
- Record the date and time and maintain at least the prescribed interval.
- Use gloves for bowls, urine, feces, vomit and saliva for the label-directed period.
- Keep children and at-risk adults away from the medicine and contaminated waste.
- Attend rechecks and call before any missed, vomited, delayed or extra dose decision.
What to monitor
Food intake, nausea behaviors, vomiting, diarrhea, weight, energy, hydration, lymph-node or other disease signs and any handling exposure. Record timing relative to each dose.
When to call a veterinarian
Use the client sheet and clinic thresholds for reduced intake, vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, lethargy or any concerning change. Contact human medical services or poison resources immediately after accidental human ingestion, and seek veterinary emergency care for collapse, severe weakness, breathing difficulty or uncontrolled symptoms.
